Before the exam
Prior authorization software for imaging centers and radiology groups
Rules say which exams need one for each payer and code, and every authorization sits on the order with its status, number and dates.
Requirement rules
Staff know right away which exams need an authorization, from rules that stay checked and current.
Auth rules decide which exams need a prior authorization for each payer and code, with global and local rules, admin approval, verification and renewal.
Prior auth workspace
Every authorization for the visit, and its current status, is in one place.
One tab on the order holds every exam’s authorization details, status, number and dates, with pending and denied lists and manual updates.
AI case assistant
Clinical answers for the authorization come from the progress notes in seconds, without reading the whole chart.
An AI assistant in the extension answers questions about the case from the patient’s progress notes and visit details, such as diagnoses that support medical necessity.

Also on every authorization
Progress note and prior auth requests
From the order or the Prior Authorization tab, staff ask the referring office for the progress note or the prior auth, sent through Gravity Communication.
Review setting
Each record is set to review every run, let it finish on its own, or off, so staff choose which authorizations run without them.
Benefit manager portal mapping
Maps each insurance to the benefit manager portal where its authorizations are handled.
Portal credential vault
Stores each user’s portal logins in the extension so it can sign in to payer portals.
In the Flow Store
Flows that get the authorization before the exam
Each flow is one task your team did by hand, now run by Gravity. Install it from the Flow Store and it runs the same day.
Gravity does it
A flow, in its mode
The flows below submit, track and check authorizations. Portal submissions can wait for your team’s review.
The office does it
Through Gravity Referral
The office uploads the order once and watches it move. No mode: the office acts, not Gravity.
Your team does it
Only the exceptions
What a flow can’t finish lands on a worklist in Gravity Work, with the history attached.
An event or a schedule starts it, and fixed rules do it. Nothing to decide, so nothing to review.
An agent reads, decides and does the work. Where a flow has a review setting, you choose: Review first. Let it finish when you’re ready.

Gravity BookingThe referring office
Referring coordinators are told what the order still needs (clinical notes, an authorization) and what is delaying care.

Questions
Questions about prior authorization software
What is Gravity PriorAuth?
Gravity PriorAuth makes sure every exam that needs a prior authorization has one. Rules say which exams need one for each payer and code, requests are submitted and their status checked on the payer’s portal without retyping the order, and every authorization sits on the order with its status, number and dates.
What happens to my team?
Gravity takes over the tasks, not the people. The routine work completes on its own, so your team can give patients the attention the paperwork used to take.
How does Gravity know which exams need a prior authorization?
From auth rules for each payer and code, global and local, kept with admin approval, verification and renewal, so staff know right away which exams need an authorization.
Can we choose which authorizations run without us?
Yes. Every agentic flow has a review setting. You choose it. Each record is set to review every run, let it finish on its own, or off.
Is the referring office told what an order is missing?
Yes. Referring coordinators are told what the order still needs, such as clinical notes or an authorization, and what is delaying care, and the center’s marketers are told when a referring office owes them. Staff can also ask the office for the progress note or the prior auth from the order.
