A tablet in the lobby, set up per location, lets patients find their appointment and check themselves in.

Scan a license and the patient’s appointment comes up, no typing.
The kiosk reads name and date of birth from the barcode on the back of the license, with manual entry as a fallback.

Works with
The same check-in, in the lobby or on the phone
A finished check-in
Marks the appointment checked in, with what the patient signed and submitted on the order.
A patient the kiosk can’t find
Is sent to the front desk, which fixes the record in Gravity so the patient can scan again.
Nothing sits in a queue. Every order becomes an exam.
Questions
Questions about the patient check-in kiosk
What is Gravity Greeter?
Gravity Greeter is the physical check-in kiosk at the front desk: a tablet in the lobby, set up per location, where patients find their appointment and check themselves in. It runs the same check-in as Gravity Visit, so patients who didn’t check in on their phone can do it in the lobby.
What happens to my team?
Gravity takes over the tasks, not the people. The routine work completes on its own, so your team can give patients the attention the paperwork used to take.
What hardware do we need?
An iPad. Greeter runs in the browser, opens from the home screen and can be locked so patients can’t leave it, and a staff passcode guards the location and sign-out settings. A shelf that holds the license at the camera makes scanning reliable.
What if a patient doesn’t have a driver’s license?
They tap Enter Manually and type their first name, last name and date of birth. Everything after that is the same. An expired license won’t scan, so manual entry is the way through for that patient too.
Is each kiosk tied to one location?
Yes. Each kiosk is set up per location, shows that location’s name and address, and records every check-in against it. When a patient finishes, it goes back to the scan screen for the next person.
